Bruce Nutt
Inducted 2019

Bruce Nutt’s contribution to the blues reached far beyond the stage. As a writer, photographer, historian, and publisher, he documented the artists and events that shaped Central Ohio music and helped their stories reach a wider audience. His work preserved moments that might otherwise have disappeared when the last note faded.
Nutt was a dedicated advocate for musicians and for the organizations that supported them. Through thoughtful coverage, images, and community involvement, he strengthened the connection between performers and listeners and helped establish a lasting record of the scene. His induction recognizes the indispensable role of those who champion the blues, preserve its history, and make sure the people creating the music receive the attention they deserve.
