About the CBA

Keeping the Blues Alive in Columbus Since 1989

An all-volunteer nonprofit preserving, nurturing, and celebrating blues music throughout Central Ohio.

Our mission

Preserving the music. Supporting the people who keep it alive.

Founded on October 5, 1989, the Columbus Blues Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving and nurturing blues music in all its forms—from acoustic and electric traditions to soul and modern blues.

Our all-volunteer organization honors the artists who shaped the music, supports the performers and venues carrying it forward, and introduces new generations to the blues through education and community programs. We are proud to represent Central Ohio as an affiliate of The Blues Foundation in Memphis.
